Service Description
1 hour class - suitable for 7-10 years. Learn how to use blocks to create your own on-screen 'talking' robot using the free programming software, Scratch. Experiment with blocks, events, variables and operators to create a fun interactive chat bot program. This class is a good introduction to the basics of programming. Share your completed chat bot with friends! This course is best delivered using the online version of Scratch at scratch.mit.edu. It is useful, (but not essential), if learners can access two devices during the course to allow them to see the demonstrations and their coding window easily at the same time.

Cancellation Policy
If for any reason, your tutor cannot teach your chosen dates, a full refund will be given or if preferred, an alternative, suitable date will be offered. Refunds will not be given for missed sessions that have been paid for once the scheduled session has commenced. You may cancel one-time lessons up to 24 hours before the start time of the booked session and any monies paid will be refunded. Multi-session courses, if not already started - can also be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations can be made by logging into your account (app or website, www.outoftheclassroom.co.uk) or by emailing us at office@outoftheclassroom.co.uk. If your child misses more than 2 sessions in any ongoing course, e.g. a 4-week class, we reserve the right to cancel their place (and refund any future, paid fees; equivalent to the cost of the remaining sessions) to allow other students to join the class. We do ask that you read our class/student conduct policy on our website. It is important to us that all students feel safe and enjoy their online learning experience. We look forward to meeting you.
